    The primer GF-021 FERROCOR is a suspension of pigments and fillers in an alkyd varnish with the addition of solvents, a siccative and stabilizing substances. The primer coating is resistant to temperature changes from minus 45 ° C to plus 60 °C.
    The primer is intended for priming metal and wooden surfaces under coatings with various enamels.
    Main colors: gray, brown, red-brown.

    Technological properties of the GF-021 primer

    • Drying time
      at a temperature of (20±5)°C and relative humidity (65±5)% to the degree of 3 (for peeling) - no more than 8 hours, complete drying - no more than 24 hours,
      at a temperature of (105 ± 5)°C to degree 3 (for peeling) - no more than 35 minutes, complete drying - no more than 1 hour.
    • Temperature of application, application
      it is recommended to apply the primer at a temperature from +5 ° C to +35 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 85%,
      the temperature range of operation of finished products from -45 ° C to +60 ° C.

        Before applying the GF021 FERROCOLOR primer, the treated surface must be dust-free, all dirt, rust and remnants of the old paintwork must be removed from it. If there are traces of corrosion on the metal surface, they should be removed mechanically. Immediately before applying the coating , the surface must be degreased by any method and dried

        Working with wooden surfaces.
        Dust and dirt, old paintwork are removed from wooden products before priming. Next, grinding and degreasing is carried out, especially for wood with a high resin content. If there are chips and cracks on the wooden product, it is recommended to patch its surface before grinding. Before applying the primer, the treated product must be dry with a humidity of no more than 14%

      Method of application

      • FERROCOLOR GF-021 primer can be applied by any means: spray, brush, roller, dipping, jet pouring
        The work must be carried out in ventilated areas using personal protective equipment for the skin, respiratory organs, eyes and face.

        Preparation of the working composition of the FERROCOLOR GF-021 primer consists in thorough mixing. If necessary, it is allowed to add a solvent (P4, xylene or white spirit) in an amount of no more than 10%. The working composition not used during the shift should be filled with a small amount of solvent and tightly closed with a factory lid to prevent moisture ingress, gel formation and increased viscosity during storage.

        The primer can be applied at an air temperature from +5 °C to +35 ° C and a relative humidity of up to 85%. It is not allowed to be applied on a wet or wet surface. The primer should be applied in a uniform layer with a thickness of 30 to 80 microns, depending on the coating system used. The primer is applied in 1-2 layers. The holding time before applying the second layer of primer at a temperature of (20 ± 5) ° C should be at least 8 hours, but not more than 2 days. The thickness of a single–layer coating (on a dry layer) is no more than 30 microns. Approximate consumption rates per layer: from 70 g/m2.
